Wordless Wednesday

Today, I am linking up with Christina from Sugar and Spice for her fun linky, Wordless Wednesday.

I love these awards by Confessions of a Teaching Junkie.  What is your favorite end of the year activity?

  1. Oh my! Thanks for the awards reminder... we MUST get ours organized this week!

My favorite end of the year activity is our Fun Day. Put on by our parent organization, it is a day filled with all kinds of activities. My sixth graders usually get to operate the dunk tank. They LOVE it! It's a long day for me as all I do is monitor their behavior at the tank, making sure all is safe. I hope to have some pics next week.

    Enjoy your last day,

  2. I use end of the year candy awards and my kiddos LOVE them! I also make a video/slideshow for the kids and they really enjoy watching videos and pics from throughout the year!

  3. I love our quarterly parties that we do with our students. For the end of the year, we did a Luau party. The students really had a good time. I also make a slideshow together of our year for the parents on the last day of school. We all sit and watch it and then I give each parent a DVD of it as they take their children home for the summer. It is always a great hit.

  4. One of my favorite End of Year activities from this year was having my first graders write "Thank You" notes to people in the school who have helped them. We brainstormed lunchroom workers, custodians, interventionists, etc and made sure each one had a student writing a note to them. After the kiddos finished their cards, they got to deliver them to that person. It was really cool to teach them a little about showing appreciation and to see how excited they got when the person reacted to getting the card.
